A Few notes

1. We need a cohesive branding strategy that we stick with and never veer away from. Consistency is how brands become strong and in the world of artist brands, it's how fans become strong.

2. If I had $100,000 to spend on you three taking the concept I've outlined here to the mainstage of Coachella, I would spend it all in a second.

PHILOSOPHY

MISSION STATEMENT
Strange Club is you, it's us, it's far reaching and filled with creators. You don't get to where you want to be by yourself. We are all strange, join the club.

BIO
Stays the same

STORY
Strange Club is you, it's us, it's far reaching and filled with creators. You don't get to where you want to be by yourself. We are all strange, join the club.

Our collective uniqueness, our strangeness, is the one and only thing that we all have in common. So embrace it. Stand out. Only by being yourself and being proud of it will you do what you were meant to do.

The key hole represents opportunity to open up new doors. Regardless of who you are, or where you’re from, our goal is to create an army who believes the sky is the limit.

Join the club.

BRANDING POINTS

  1. We're all united in our differences
  2. The sky is the limit
  3. We're all creators
  4. Working together is essential
  5. Respect each other
  6. Don't be confined to societal norms
  7. True creativity embraces strangeness

CONTENT

We have a pretty wide target demographic from about 20-40. Nostalgia has been shown to greatly increase feelings of positivity and connectedness so I think we should capitalize on those feelings with the decades of music that our target demo is most nostalgic about. And we should focus on not just one genre, but both of the genres that we produce and identify with, Hip Hop and House music.

LOGO
The logo works, but I'm also down to clean it up a little bit.

INSPO
Some flyers, album covers, photo shoots, and more to provide inspo. It'd be up to Stan to pull these elements into one unique Strange Club look and find fonts to accompany them.

CONTENT SERIES - CLUBIFICATION (1 TIME A WEEK)
Along the lines of what we've been doing except no more collages. We take classic images, flyers, album covers, and more from the eras we identify with and put strange club branding marks on them. The captions can be creative from Sabastion, he's done a great job.

CONTENT SERIES - PAYING RESPECT (1 TIME A WEEK)
Posting images of the musicians and events and experiences that paved the way for where things are today. Nico would be in charge of the captions and they should be interesting. Examples below.

On August 11, 1973, forty-four years ago today, a 16-year-old Jamaican immigrant changed pop music forever. In the rec room in an unassuming middle-class apartment building at 1520 Sedgewick Avenue, Clive Campbell, later known as Kool Herc, invented hip hop at his little sister Cindy’s “back to school jam.”

The Right To Dance protests from 1997. This was a protest and dance held on the doorstep of the Los Angeles Federal Building in response to anti-dance music police action and legislation.

"Wild Style" is often regarded as the first hip-hop film.

Directed and produced by Charlie Ahearn, the film featured prominent hip-hop pioneers Busy Bee Starski, Fab 5 Freddy, Grandmaster Flash and the Cold Crush Brothers, all of whom play themselves in the motion picture.

CONTENT SERIES 3 - RELEASE PROMO (2 TIMES BEFORE RELEASE DAY, 2 TIMES AFTER RELEASE DAY)

This content series should go along with more traditional music promo. Like teasers, artwork, etc.

We pull 4 pieces of content offline for free that fit with the theme of the song. Sabastion comes up with 4 shorter stories for each release. All the stories should revolve around a central theme that relates back to our mission statement/philosophy, and of course, the title of the song and it's lyrical content.

For example, 'Waiting On You' is a song about getting attention and feeling good but waiting on someone else. Our lesson could be 'Do you and don't wait for anyone else'. We allude to that in the content and maybe we actually say it on release day.

"If he doesn't show up for your date, then fuck that guy. You can do better than that. Your time is more important. Don't ever wait around for someone else."

- Strange Club Member, Mia

"The longer I waited, the more time I spent with myself. I started to enjoy it and eventually I told her not to come at all. I'm my favorite company after all"

- Strange Club member, Madelyn

MUSIC

GOAL
To realize true independent success on the level of Chance the Rapper or Skrillex. Major labels (not the house labels we want to release on) will suck us dry so we should at least make an effort to avoid them if we can.

STRANGE CLUB RELEASES
Two track EPs using the same vocals. One that is as commercial as you can stand to make it, the other can be anything from tech house, to techno, to deep house, to bass house or acid house.

Waiting on You
Waiting on You (Strange, Club Mix)

Bonus points for bringing back legendary sounds from those golden eras of these music genres too. West coast g funk leads, ravey synth stabs, covers from those eras, acid house sounds, soulful vocals, old school rhyme delivery. But with your modern day house twist.

LABEL RELEASES
1-2 track EPs that are underground house music. Released on assorted labels. These releases don't get the full strange club treatment and serve as a way for you guys to release underground music.

PERFORMANCE

VERSION 2
What is it?

COSTUME
Multiple jacket types that are identical in style, but different in color and patches. Don't need to be expensive at first, just match the branding.
